Step by Step Google Ads Guide
Want to improve your small business? Wondering how to increase traffic to your website? Want to know how to use Google to your advantage? Creating ads with Google ads is your solution.
Google Ads gives you the ability to reach your targeted customers with ads specially selected for already interested viewers. The platform allows you to reach potential customers who have already shown interest in your product, service, or product category, helping to bring relevant, quality traffic to your business.
While all of this sounds great, sometimes, creating a Google Ad campaign can be confusing, so I created this guide to help free your mind and process. Proper traffic and customer conversions are just a few clicks away!
Preparation
Before we get into the details, all the good Google Ad campaigns start with the question: what should my business offer? It is important to explain what your business does, what it stands for, what problem it solves and how it offers solutions. What is your niche?
Once you’ve clearly defined what your business offers, it’s time to spell out who it is. Who helps you, who is interested in you, and who can benefit from your product or service? This will be known as your audience.
From here you can decide what your keywords will be. What search terms do you want to lead to your product?
For example, if you are a company owner with t-shirts that make custom t-shirts you want to start thinking about not only the product you offer, the T-shirt, but who it works for and what solutions they can offer.
Keywords are designed to highlight the complexity of your product and how you enter everyday life and/or solve certain problems.
In the case of a company with t-shirts, its keywords can be categorized into problems that they try to solve: fashion, clothing, clothing, niche service offers custom, design, personal creation, and people they serve: groups, groups, and friends.
You will use these keywords to guide every step of the creative process as they define your business and what you want to get from your advertising campaigns. Keep this in mind as you go through the installation process.
What is your main marketing goal?
Once you have accessed the Google Adwords website you will be notified first to answer what your main advertising goal is: to get more calls, get more website sales or subscriptions, or more visits where you live.
I would recommend that you choose the second option of “get more website sales or subscriptions”.
After this, you will be asked for more basic information about your business such as the name of your business and your website, as well as the channel where your website is most visited (eg mobile or web).
Advertising
Now is the time to start creating your real advertising campaigns. Remember those keywords that you used to think about? It’s time to dump her and move on.
Google Ads will use its “smart campaign” program to pick words from your website to create original ads. If you like what you see you can save their suggestions. If not, you can choose from the drop-down menu provided with other options or write your own!
Keyword Creation
Do you remember all that pre-work I did? Eventually, it will pay off. In the next step, you will enter those keywords in the Google Ad program. I would recommend 7-10.
Can’t think of at least 7? Do not be afraid! Google Ads offers a variety of options to choose from. Choose the ones that best suit your business needs.
Ad placement
Here you will enter the place or areas you want your ads to be made available. Think about where you do business, and where your target audience is located. Google even has the technology to let you access certain cities and zip codes!
Creating a budget
Next, you will choose the budget you use for your daily advertising. I would recommend a daily average of 8 euros to start seeing results, but be sure to choose a budget that best suits the needs of your business.
Update, Update, Update
Make sure you read in detail about your ad campaign to make sure it matches your preferences.
View everything from your campaign goal, keywords, budget, and how the campaign itself reads. When all is said and done, you are ready to move on!
Payment and delivery
Lastly, include all your payment information. Create your billing profile and press Submit. Your new Google Ad campaign is now ready to go!
I hope this has helped you and saved you from confusion and stress. Remember if you are confused at any time, or just have a question, there is a live chat in the lower part of the hand of all the pages.
Keep Your Ads Active
Now that you’ve successfully created your Google Ads it’s important to make sure they exist, and they always work well. To do so I suggest that I invest in a third-party provider that focuses on Google ads and keyword bidding.
Applying for the help of an experienced provider helps ensure you get the most out of your advertising campaigns and eliminates maintenance pressures so you can focus on other important aspects of your business!
All in all, Google ads are not something to be intimidated by! It is one of the best ways to deliver more traffic, relevant to your business that leads to more conversions. It also helps to spread awareness about your product and target consumers accurately.
Following this guide, you have the tools and knowledge to create and run effective advertising campaigns for your growing business. So what are you waiting for?
